my parallel worlds comparison will be real beauty vs media beauty , i am hoping to incorporate the ideas from the workshop inspired by aldo tolino because i think that will go well with my comparison and  help get the message across  i would also like to develop and use the idea from the liquefy workshop because that would also help . Below are two examples of the workshops i would like to use in my own final project . I would like to try and convey the message that you are beautiful the way you are and that although people may say you are not you always are. I will need to take photographs of a model with and without makeup on

Nature and technology and old vs new are my favourite two because i like the way the explore different techniques and are very contrast to each other i would like to use this in my work  

Reflection

I enjoyed the photography challenge of taking a series of different photos using different photography skills i enjoyed this because i think it was very creative and you can do it in your own individual way and also because i prefer taking the photos rather then editing them on photoshop or doing things like that. The skills i need to work on to improve are that i need to explore further in the way i take different photos i also need to explore more colours and layers when using photoshop . I don't enjoy the editing or using photoshop because it frustrates me when it dosent t work or look right and i think its really boring .

In order to complete this project we had to take into account a handful of different things like the lighting in our photos because if it was too light or too dark this could effect our photos because of the contrast in the images . Another thing we had to take into account was the angles we took them because else it would not look real for example like the giants and monsters one it could have looked unreal if it was taken at a different angle .

creative selfies - research

 I like this selfie and think its very creative because of the contrast of colours the yellow really stands out with the other colours on the face . i think this shows that she is really creative and crazy it also shows that they like fruit








i like this because it is very creative and unique and i like the way he draws some of him on . i think he shows that he's portraying that selfies are taken so you can be beautiful and like you design yourself

















 I like this because it is creative and he looks as though he is reflecting on others . in think he is trying to show that he is different to everyone else and that he is in his own little world




MY IDEAS
i would like to take selfie in the mirror and draw images around my figure to show what is going through my mind and things and then write something like crazy to show that i am crazy . i would also like to do reflection photo and take it through another phone or camera .

research on alex box

Alex Box is a British make-up artist. After growing up in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, Box moved to London to study BA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art. For her degree show she exhibited an installation exploring the relationship between the body, environment and desire. In addition to site specific installations, Box has also exhibited in galleries across the world.

 

Her work is very different and unique she uses a variety of different colours and patterns i really like the way she does her work and i am going to be inspired by this for my own project , and i am going to use different colours and patterns in my work . 

Road signs

i have picked three road signs that i like i like them because they are different and they are creative . the first one means warning pedestrian the second one means warning water along side road the third one means warning ducks around . 

You would find the first one in a small town or village where there are pedestrians crossing 

the second one one you woulds find in a town that could flood easily and frequently 

the third one you would find near a duck pond where ducks are

Aperture

The smaller the F-stop number the bigger the gap that the lens makes to let the light in. the smaller the number there will only be one thing in focus and everything in the background will be blurred this would be a shallow depth of field
The bigger the F-stop number the smaller the gap the lens makes to let the light in the smaller the number there will be the whole picture in focus rather than just one part of the image.

I like the way mike places his figures in the photos , when he does this he gives of the effect that they are real people in real situation he focuses the camera close enough so that it looks real enough I'm going to be inspired by these images and take some of my own


these are the ones i tried myself in the style of mike simpson  i really like the way i have done it i have placed the figures in places and positions that real people would be in i think we have made them look life size however we could have made them look a bit bigger

I like these photos , and the way the artist does it because it focuses on the figure but it also focuses on the background too which is really good this is what my work will be inspired by
